Evan is a software developer with 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining commercial and enterprise applications for telecoms, government, and web startups. His work includes projects that were developed in Ruby, iOS, Java, and C. He is also a skilled Agile project manager and has been the team technical lead on several projects.

Evan has been a frequent speaker and attendee at technical conferences, particularly those focused on the Ruby programming language, has a few published articles about Ruby development, and is the founder and organizer of the annual Ruby DCamp unconference.
