As a business consultant, she utilized her background in computer science and economics to create robust solutions for leading organizations in the telecommunications, aerospace, and high tech industries. Renée built and scaled cloud services as a developer in the startup world, and led the innovation of server admin technologies. As an expert in agile development and an emerging technical leader in the Ruby on Rails software community, she co-founded Seattle RailsBridge and frequently presents at both domestic and international Ruby conferences.
Her professional interests include dealing with legacy code, new approaches to dev-ops, teaching Ruby on Rails, and increasing diversity in the tech and startup communities.
