I started having the same problem after updating my ATT Captivate to Droid 2.2. The Droid began inserting text from 7 month old emails into FWD's, replies, and then even into new emails. At first the problem was random; then it began to happen email after email. Needless to say it gave me great concern as my business necessitates confidential information.

A friend suggested deleting my POP account from the Droid default program and installing K-9.

I did this yesterday and have had no problems for 24 hours. We'll see.

I have been having this problem with my Motorola Droid since the last update. It's happened 4 times now. I refuse to send another email with my phone until the bug is fixed... I'm afraid to!

My wife has been having the exact same problem on her Motorola Droid, using the stock email app. K-9 mail seems to work fine, but every once in a while, the old email app 'reactivates' and causes issues.
